Benjamin Bradley, is a senior at Lakeview High School. Bradley started his educational and athletic career off strong by playing soccer, a sport which he has always excelled in for years, for about 14 years to be exact. Not only will Bradley be making his mark as a student of the graduating class, but also making a mark on the soccer field. Bradley has been a dedicated soccer player throughout high school, serving as captain and earning numerous All-County Awards.
However, in a surprising twist, he decided to pick up bowling during his senior year.
When asked about his decision. Bradley shared, “I wanted to try something new and challenge myself in a way I hadn’t before. All of my friends have played or currently play it, and hearing them talk about it made me curious and excited to give it a shot. And I ended up having so much fun. Not just with the sport itself, but being able to create more memories with my friends, and the new skills I was learning along the way. It turned out to be one of the best decisions I’ve made.”
Bradley’s journey through high school has been nicely defined by the friendships he has built along the way. His closet friends being, Matt Seikel, Caden Baldwin, Sebastian Ruddy, Lucas Redmond, and his brother Easton Bradley, have been some of his best friends during his time at Lakeview.
Easton made a comment about his brother’s departure saying, “Although I only got to experience high school with him for 2 years, it was always fun to have him around the building. I’ll miss having him driving me to school and back and especially practices. Being able to play soccer with him for at least a bit of my high school years definitely made the experience.”
Not only through the challenging days at school, when the weight of assignments and exams felt overwhelming, but especially during their time on the soccer team or in the classroom, Ben made memories with his friends that will stick with him forever.
Reflecting on his experiences at Lakeview, Ben said, “Something about Lakeview that I’ll miss and look back on were getting to experience new things that I never thought I would have experienced and the friendships that I made along the way throughout high school.”
As graduation approaches, Ben expresses a bittersweet feeling about leaving high school. He will miss playing his sports with his closest friends and their daily interactions at school.
Looking ahead, Ben plans to attend Youngstown State University. Although he is still undecided on which major to choose, he, and Lakeview, are excited for the opportunities that lie ahead for him.
With a passion for his sport and the experiences to keep his heart filled with memories, Ben Bradley is a perfect example of what it means to be a Lakeview Bulldog.
We wish Ben goodluck for the exciting journeys ahead! Goodluck Ben!
