Senior Anthony Marble-Salem has been a model student at Lakeview High School. Marble-Salem was on the state qualifying cross country team, and was the Lakeview boys soccer team captain, all while maintaining a very high grade point average and being a member of the National Honor Society.
Marble-Salem has been a Lakeview student for the majority of his time in school. When asked how Lakeview changed him, Marble- Salem responded, “Lakeview has changed me by making me many friends and giving me lasting memories.”
High school is a very memorable and influential period in many people’s lives. When asked what is one thing you will remember most about Lakeview and why, Marble- Salem replied, “What I will remember most about Lakeview will be the people.”
At the beginning of the year, there were many traditional events that students were anticipating to participate in as seniors. Marble- Salem was excited about many of the upcoming events, but there was one in particular he was especially excited about. Marble- Salem stated, “I was the most excited at the beginning of this final school year for the football games. It is always nice seeing all your friends in one place”
Senior year is an exciting time for many students. Marble- Salem was able to make many valuable memories during his last year of high school. Marble- Salem highlighted, “My favorite part of senior year so far was running cross country and having the cross country team qualify to state.”
As the clock winds down on senior year, Marble Salem reflects on what is most difficult for him as a senior. When asked what is the most difficult part about senior year and why, Marble- Salem replied, “The most difficult part about senior year has been the classes. The reason why is because when you’re so close to being done you start not taking priority as much.”
As a senior approaching his last ever semester of high school, Marble-Salem is qualified in the world of high school. When asked what advice he would give to the underclassmen as a senior, Marble Salem stated, “I would tell the underclassman to start working towards your goals at the start, so by the time you’re done with high school you can have a head start.”
Although it may seem uncommon, it is becoming more popular for students to have lots of their greatest memories come from inside the classroom. Marble- Salem was a student who got to experience the joy that goes on behind classroom doors. Marble- Salem remarked, “My favorite in class memory would be messing around in French class. The people in that class are hilarious and we are always dying of laughter.”
Marble- Salem got to experience something extraordinary during his time at Lakeview. He was a member of the state qualifying cross country team during his senior year. This amazing accomplishment was appreciated by Lakeview School District and the team was rewarded with a clap out, which consisted of the entire school clapping as the team walked out the doors ready to take on state.
Going to state is a big deal for students who have worked hard to make it that far. When asked what his favorite memory about going to state was, Marble Salem replied, “My favorite cross-country memory from states would have been when we qualified. Our team was very proud of each other for all the hard work we put in to get there.”
Although Marble- Salem made some good memories inside the classroom, he also made good memories outside of the classroom as well. When asked what his favorite was, Marble- Salem admitted, “My favorite out of school memory with my classmates would be when I totally pranked Mason Wheeler with Jadon Kropp and Luke Whitmore and sprayed coke all over him then slapped him with a tortilla.”
Good luck to Anthony Marble- Salem as he takes on the world after graduation! Your contribution to Lakeview sports will never be forgotten.
