Anne-Marie Koch, LHS personal finance teacher, recently shared plans for a new entrepreneurship class for the 2018-2019 school year. Koch plans to introduce a class next school year centered around business management. This class will have a “Shark Tank-like” atmosphere as students put themselves to the test.

Elements of the course will include the management of a school cafe that Andria Morningstar-Gray, school media center specialist and English teacher, claims will be located in the “soon to be renovated front lab” of the library. The cafe is one of many student-run projects of the course. Here students can congregate over snacks and beverages as homework is tackled and tribulations of the day are shrugged off. The photo attached is a model of what Lakeview’s future cafe could look like.

Taking the class will equip students with the tools to understand entrepreneurship and the business world. It doesn’t matter if you are a young entrepreneur or someone who is seeking a greater understanding of the business world because Koch’s future business class is right for everyone.
