The Love Life Foundation and the Cortland Lions Club have joined together to bring the first annual Cortland Oktoberfest community event, taking place on Saturday, October 14th and Sunday, October 15th, 2017.  This two day family oriented festival will be sure to provide entertainment for all ages. Our activities will include an Arts & Crafts Show, Chili Cook – Off, 5K/10K Trail Run/Walk, Family Games and Activities, Kids Crafts, Chinese Auction, Music, Food, Entertainment and much more.

The Cortland Oktoberfest will kick off the festivities with the   MOE-Mentum 5K/10K Trail Run/Walk event beginning at 8:30 a.m.  Runners will compete for awards in various age groups.  The scenic trail will lead both, runners and walkers through wooded pathways in Cortland, Oh.  So, get those shoes ready and let’s build our MOE-mentum for this friendly challenge.

Another area of interest for all to enjoy will be the Arts & Crafts Show. This event will take place on Saturday, October 14th and Sunday, October 15th, 2017; Saturday, 9:00am – 5:00pm and Sunday, 10:00am – 5:00pm. The Arts and Crafts Show is a great opportunity for both crafters and artists to showcase their unique and handcrafted talent.  With over 65+ vendors, this could be your opportunity to find that one of a kind hand crafted piece; you have always been searching for!

Art Alley will have family activities and entertainment for all age groups.  The street will be filled with tons of kids arts and crafts, adult craft workshops, multiple inflatables, family games and activities, live artist performances, photography contest, coloring contest, chalk on the walk, local & regional artists galleries, street entertainment and more.  The cost is only $10.00 per wristband. On the main stage of the two-day event, we will bring talented musicians and entertainment for all to watch, listen and enjoy.

On Saturday, October 14, 2017, from 6:00 p.m. – 11:00 p.m. at the Cortland Lions Club Building (194 West main St. Cortland, Ohio) the Tangled Up In Brew event will be underway.  This part of the Cortland Oktoberfest will be for the 21 years of age and over crowd.  There are two package options to choose from.      On Sunday, October 15, 2017, the Cortland Oktoberfest Chili Cook – Off will take place down Main Street of Cortland.  This friendly, high-spirited, cooking competition will be fun for all ages.  We are looking for the best tasting chili around.  Over $500.00 in cash prizes will be given out to the winners. Each team that registers will receive a goodie bag to help in your competition efforts.
