The girls soccer team was very excited to celebrate the ending of their season by celebrating senior night last Wednesday vs Hubbard.

The Bulldogs were very sad to send off their two senior captains, Bella Kakiou and Maddy Clark. The two girls, who have been playing since they were little, expressed that they are a little upset to see their last game as a Bulldog come to an end.

Kakiou said, “I’ve been playing soccer since I was little and now my final season is finally over. I’m very sad to picture myself playing my last game but I’m happy with the time I had with it.”

The girls were grateful for the support of family and friends along the way.

Kakiou added, “Thank you for everyone who made my senior night the best and thank you for anyone who has helped me reach my goals in my academic and athletic career.”

The girls battled against the Hubbard Lady Eagles and beat them 5-0. They were very excited to start their tournaments coming in as strong as possible with a great win.

The team looks up to their seniors and seeing them play their last game was heartbreaking for many, but the bonds that they made will forever be in their hearts and never forgotten.

Junior Sophia Scott said, “It’s sad to see them go and I’m going to miss them a lot, but I will never forget the times we had while playing together.

Scott added, “These girls are my family, and I would do anything in the world for them.”

The girls had a heartbreaking loss against West Branch in the semi finals, ending their journey and their season. The Bulldogs are very happy with how they played; they put everything they had into the game but just couldn’t get the dub. Next year they plan on going far and making it to state.
