Golf is one of the most mentally challenging sports that one can play. You are only competing against yourself in the game of golf, and if you hit a bad shot it’s on you. But that’s also why golf is such a great game, it requires skill along with perseverance and mental toughness.

Sadly, the Lakeview boys golf season came to a close this past week at Windmill Lakes Golf Course. The Bulldogs played 18 holes in a five-man match where the four best scores were counted towards the total for the team.

Lakeview ended up shooting a 370 with Senior Nick Demonica shooting an 81, and Junior Michael Horn shooting an 82 through 18 holes. Lakeview was just a few strokes short of qualifying for the next round of the tournament.

Overall though it was a solid season and Junior Michael Horn reiterated that when talking about the team’s final record.

We ended our season with a 500 record average,” Horn stated. The Lakeview boys golf team ended the season with a record over 500 and a solid second-place finish in North East Eight Tournament.

It was a pretty successful season after it was all said and done and the golf team’s returning members are looking forward to next season.
