Lakeview Debuts New Schedule

Lakeview Debuts New Schedule

The 2020-2021 school year has been a year unlike any others in the past. It’s seen many ups and downs along with many changes to the curriculum. Since the beginning of the school year, we’ve been learning under the yellow schedule, which is a hybrid schedule where half of the student body goes to school Monday and Wednesday and the other half goes to school on Tuesday and Thursday.

This unusual schedule has become the norm this year until now, as a new schedule has just been implemented. We’re now going five days a week, with two days a week being in person and the other two being online, and each group of students alternates going in person on Friday. Although This schedule has only been in place for two weeks, there are already mixed opinions on it.

Junior, Ryan Kurtz stated that “It’s nice to be going to school five days a week, but I’d prefer to go in-person five days a week”.

This seems to be the opinion held among many students at Lakeview including Junior Nate Fox who claims that “this schedule is something that I could get used to as we’ve faced a lot of adversity this year and this schedule is somewhat normal.”

This new schedule is definitely a step in the right direction, and all we can hope for is that things can return to normal sometime in the future.
