Coach Pavlansky Begins New Chapter in Poland
March 1, 2021
Long time Bulldog football coach, teacher, and community leader Tom Pavlansky has recently decided to end his time as a Lakeview football coach and explore a new endeavor in Poland. He leaves the program with an illustrious 22-year career filled with plenty of playoff appearances and victories.
Poland holds a special place in Pavlansky’s heart as he is an alumnus of the school. Also, his father, Dave, had a decorated coaching career with the Poland Bulldogs. The turf they play on is even named “Dave Pavlansky Field” in his honor.
An illustrious coaching career must have come with some great memories. As to his favorite, Coach has a tough time choosing just one.
“Can’t select just one, that’s for sure,” he says. “There are some victories that stand out, but my favorite coaching memories come from the practices we had. The camaraderie of the coaches and players is what stands out the most to me. I’ve been blessed to be around great people here at Lakeview – those moments with them are special.”
As to what Pavlansky will miss about the program at Lakeview, he reiterates his love for the camaraderie and relationships that are built throughout a player’s short cycle through a program.
Pavlansky said, “I am going to miss the kids. Simple as that. This crew of seniors for the 2021 season are not large in number, but they are a great group to be around. I cannot say that enough. Their future is bright, there is no doubt in my mind.”
As Pavlansky begins his new chapter in Poland, his legacy remains at Lakeview. The traditions and values he leaves behind have molded Lakeview’s football program into one of the most respected in the area. It is safe to say Pavlansky left the program better than he found it. Best of luck to Coach Pavlansky and his family.
