With the new year Lakeview High School also has a new nurse! Meet Shelly Holton the new school nurse who is eager to help!

Holton graduated from Lordstown High School and TCTC for nursing. For anyone who found themselves in the “sick” clinic that took up residence in the teachers’ lunchroom last year, Holton will be a familiar face. 

When asked what she was looking forward to the most in her new position this year she said,  “Helping those in need.”

And when asked what she was least looking forward to she responded “The complications of covid”. 

Fortunately, working in a high school has so much more to offer than the average nursing position and Holton is looking forward to watching the Bulldogs in her favorite fall sport.

Holton said,  “I love football and the enthusiasm and excitement that comes with the game.”

Outside of school though Holton deeply enjoys gardening and spending time with her grandson.

Some of her favorite parts about Lakeview are the students. Holton said, “I am impressed with their respect toward each other and staff.”

Holton looks forward “Sharing Lakeview Pride”. To her that is what it means to be a Bulldog.
