Lakeview Band Excited to Take Back the Field
August 24, 2021
The Lakeview High School Marching Band has been preparing all summer to wow the crowd. During Band camp, they woke up around 6 am and would put in work for more than 12 hours a day. All of their effort has led up to Lakeview’s Band Night on August 30th at 7 pm.
Our band kids at Lakeview are very passionate about what they do on the field. They work to make things perfect while still having fun with their friends.
Senior majorette Cassidy Hluchan is very excited to start her last year in the band. She tells us “the crowd’s energy is unlike anything else I’ve experienced before. It hit me hard last year to not have been able to travel for band nights, so I’m twice as excited for this year.”
Covid made having a normal year difficult last season, but the band is excited to get things back to normal by traveling to band nights and football games. This will also mark the second season that the band will be allowed to show off their brand-new uniforms, which they were unable to wear last year.
Band president, senior Anna Kolonich, also had lots to say in preparation for the upcoming show. She remarks, “I think I speak for the entire band when I say that we are stoked to have band nights back in our stadium this year!”
Not only will the Lakeview band be featured at the end of the night, but Kolonich states “it will bring other local bands back into our stadium,” something that has been impossible during the previous season due to Covid-19.
Join the band on their special night at Don Richards Memorial Stadium on August 30th. The band is excited to be back, and they hope to see you there.
