Senior Lexi Garcia is coming to the end of her years here at Lakeview High School. Garcia has been a Bulldog her whole life and grown up and created great friendships with those that have also been around a while. As she continues on with her life she plans on attending Cleveland State or Youngstown State to major in Nursing.

Garcia has had a busy high school life where she was a member of Marching band, symphonic band, jazz band, pep band, band council librarian, beta club, NHS, and Spanish club. She also accomplished being named NHS President at the beginning of this school year.

This year Garcia found herself joining the bowling team and really enjoying it. Garcia said, “I was asked to be a sub because of low numbers and I did. Then I ended up really enjoying it and became a permanent member of the team for this season. It has been such a fun new experience to take on as a senior and I would not have asked for better teammates and coaches.”

Garcia says, “I still don’t quite feel like this is our last year. It’s hard to believe that in 4 more months we will never have to come back and are moving onto a new chapter of our lives. I am excited and a little nervous for what the future holds.”

All of Garcia’s hard work has paid off; while participating in all her extracurricular activities she has also worked hard outside of class to maintain a 4.0 GPA. She has had to overcome many obstacles throughout her high school career like online schooling joining the mix of chaos.

Garcia is never going to forget the experiences that she has created at Lakeview. One of her favorites was her last time marching under the lights on a Friday night.

Garcia says she will miss Having the support of teachers and the administration at our fingertips to help us succeed. I am very thankful to have people like Mrs. Bucko and Mr. Detoro who is always ready with anything you need.”

Garcia will also miss “Mrs. Schlatt because she always was so energetic in the morning when she knew none of us wanted to be awake. And Ella Chadwick always takes horrible pictures of me laughing at halftime.”

Garcia has grown to enjoy having many of the teachers here at Lakeview and will miss them when she graduates. She is also going to miss getting to see many of her friends everyday that she’s had for years.

Garcia is moving onto big things and has thoughts on what her future may look like in the long run.

Garcia says, “In 5 years I see myself working as an RN at University Hospitals in Cleveland and in ten years I would love to be a nurse practitioner.”

Good luck to Senior Lexi Garcia as she goes on with her future!
