The second nine weeks are coming to an end, and Bulldog seniors are gearing up for the last half of their high school year. This school year is flying by, and seniors cannot wait to see what their next chapter of life is going to be like as young adults.
Seniors have spent years navigating the small and big details of school and now will be hit with what is next as a young adult.
School comes with building friendships and experiences they will never forget. Whether it is meeting new people in school and becoming close with them, sporting events, or going on school trips, these memories will never be forgotten, and these seniors have cherished every last bit of them.
Seniors were asked what it feels like now that they only have one more half to go and what emotions they have.
Senior Tyler Hovance states, “It feels nice, I can’t lie. Only having two more nine weeks to go and I’m done really hits me. I’m ready for the next stage of my life, and I can’t wait to see what it holds for me. From pre-school to being a senior, I have made some great memories and great friends that I will never forget in my life.”
Senior Nolan Toth also states, “Now that we are just about done with the second nine weeks, it’s starting to hit me that I’m graduating soon. This school year has gone by so fast, and I still remember getting ready for school when I was just a little kid. The memories I have made and the great friends I have made on my journey is something that I have always been so grateful for in my life.”
These seniors have worked so incredibly hard and are almost done, but it hits them with the reality of what life will be like outside of high school and how they may never see the friends they spent their whole life with once they venture out on their own.
School can be very exhausting and stressful, but it doesn’t stop the Bulldogs from doing what they do best. They were asked what it was that they did that got them through high school and key things to help classes come up.
Senior Tyler Hovance also elaborated, “First, it starts with the little things, like showing up to school and being present every day you can. Taking that one day off will come back to haunt you, and you will get behind on many things. Second, do your work when it’s given to you and your homework at home. And third, be respectful to your teachers and peers. Respect is a big part of school, whether it’s in middle school or high school. Respect matters.”
Senior Sam Balest states, “School comes with three things: being on time, being organized, and being respectful. Showing up on time is always important. If you are always late or get there last second, then that causes you stress and starts your day off on a bad note. Being organized is next. Being organized is important because if you get into the habit of becoming organized, you will be a better student and a better version of yourself overall. And last, being respectful is a big point for me because you should always be respectful to everyone and treat everyone like you would treat your best friend.”
School becomes easier for seniors as long as you stay organized, do your work on time, and overall listen to your teachers, as they are there for a reason and do the best they always can.
Senior Kyle Senkowitz concludes,”School can be very stressful, but if you show up, do your work, and study when you need to study, school will become much easier, and you will be less stressed during your day. When it’s time to become the upperclassman of the school, remember to keep being respectful and helping others that need help.”
As the next half of the school year starts, these seniors will cherish every last second and will always be grateful for the friends and teachers they have met along the way and as they start the next chapter of their lives.
