As the 2023 year comes to an end there are more and more people making their new year resolutions. There is a lot to look forward to coming into the new year. Seniors will be coming into their graduating year and the rest of the students have a bunch of fun activities to look forward to such as summer break, prom, and holiday breaks!
This is a big year coming up for the graduating seniors of 2024. There’s a lot to get done and a lot to look forward to.
I asked Senior Dylan Clements, What are you most looking forward to in your graduating year of 2024? Do you have any new year resolutions? He stated, “I’m most excited for Prom and the memories I will make with my peers by the end of senior year. Prom will be one of the last chances my peers and I will have time to enjoy with each other before we start going off in our separate directions. My new year’s resolution this year is to spend more time with family and friends and enjoy all of the little moments. I have waited for this year to come forever, but now that it’s here, it’s going by too fast but so far it has been amazing!”
I also asked Senior Emerson Hyde she replied, “I’m definitely most excited for the end of my graduating year. I think doing the senior parade, walking around the middle school/elementary school in my cap and gown while the little kids watch us, and graduation in itself will be fun. My new year’s resolution is to enjoy the little things more. I want to enjoy every moment I have left of my senior year and make myself realize that this life won’t last forever so I need to take it all in. This year has gone by so fast but it’s been good.”
Senior year is a very special year for every student. The Lakeview seniors are super excited to create their final memories being in the Lakeview School district. All of the seniors have very high hopes for their last couple months of their senior year.
I asked Senior Ty Chamberlain, What is your biggest goal going into 2024? He stated, “I wanted to experience life with my friends before we all went our separate ways at college. I have very high hopes for graduation and I’m super excited to spend that last memory I will have and cherish for the rest of my life with my best friends I’ve made over the years. I’m also working really hard studying for midterms so I can go into Christmas break with weight off my shoulders.”
I also asked Senior Isaiah Warner and he replied, “To finish out the school year strong and achieve my goals. Now that our Senior year is half over I think we all have a lot to work on ourselves so self-reflecting is going to mean a lot for me going into the next year. I made a lot of mistakes and bad decisions, but the beauty of next year is that it’s a fresh start, a new beginning, and I am going to take advantage of that as best I can.”
The Lakeview seniors have big and inspiring goals to reach in their 2024 years. From focusing on grades, being excited for prom, and looking forward to graduation these Lakeview seniors have goals they want to reach and more memories they want to create before they all go their separate ways. We wish these Lakeview seniors the best of luck for the rest of their school year!
