Senior Elisa Kotsatos has been a Lakeview student since she was in kindergarten. She has been very thankful for her experience and there are many things she is going to miss a ton. The teachers, her friends, and in and out of school events, are all things she cherishes, and is not ready to leave behind. Kotsatos says, “What I am going to miss most about Lakeview is the wonderful memories and friendships that I have acquired throughout my educational experience at Lakeview.”
Something very helpful to Kotsatos all of her high school career has been the staff. From all the teachers, along with the principals and other staff. She is very thankful for the help from the staff and how they have always looked out for her and made her the best version of herself.
Kotsatos states, “Mrs. Miller is the most influential teacher throughout my academic journey at Lakeview. For the majority of students, math is an extremely tough subject, but she works very diligently to ensure that each student understands the curriculum.”
Kotsatos has made many memories throughout her high school, in and out of the classroom. Kotsatos’s favorite in-class memory was in her sophomore year chemistry class, they flew rockets. She enjoyed this moment because it was lots of fun, yet it was very educational too. Kotsatos also had many fun experiences outside of school with her friends. She says, “My favorite out-of-school memory with my classmates is my eighteenth birthday bash. My friends and I went to the Avalon for an amazing dinner, and then had a party to celebrate me.”
Along with having very supportive teachers, Kotsatos also had a very supportive mom, “Throughout my entire high school career, my mother has consistently inspired me the most. She has always been very supportive of any endeavors I have pursued and cares immensely about my success. Altogether, my mother has been an extremely positive role model, and I am very grateful to have her in my life.” As you can see her mom had a very big impact on her and was very inspirational to her.
Kotsatos had many opportunities throughout her high school career. She got the opportunity to be on Homecoming Court her senior year, this is something that she has always hoped to be a part of and she did. Kotsatos also got recognized at the Senior superlative pep rally. She was awarded the best hair and life of the party. These are two special experiences that she will cherish forever.
Some of Kotsatos’ best memories happened at her school dances with all of her friends. She appreciates her friends and is going to miss them a lot. Another time she got to share with her friends was the National Honors Society. Kotsatos states, “My favorite memory in the National Honors Society was welcoming the upcoming juniors with flowers and a note. I had the honor of inducting a few of my best friends, in addition to the yearly ceremony.”
As a senior, looking back on her freshman year Kotsatos has only one main thing she wishes she did differently, “One thing I wish I knew as a freshman is to consistently try your best throughout your high school career. If I could go back to freshman year, I would have put forth more effort and been more concerned about my grade point average.” Although Kotsatos wishes she would have put more effort, she also recommends to live your high school years out to the fullest because they will be over before you know it.
Following high school Kotsatos has big things planned ahead of her. She is planning on continuing her education at Kent State University studying Business Administration. She is very thankful for what Lakeview has given her and prepared her for college.
Good Luck to 2024 senior Elisa Kotsatos with your next journey through life!
