Senior Tyler Lucas is ready to take the next steps of his future. Lucas has been a Bulldog since the start of the 3rd grade. He is thrilled and cannot wait to see how this new chapter of his life spans out. As the end of this year approaches, Lucas is planning to get a full time job and pursue something in the automotive industry. His father and brother, who got him into cars, have had an impact on why he is choosing something in the automotive industry.
Lucas has left a good impression on not only his friends but the administration. He is a very social kid and brings joy to everything he does. When Lucas was asked on how his senior year has played out so far he had some good things to say.
Lucas expresses, “I think it has played out as I planned based on how laid back it can be at times and not stressing as much as I have in previous years. How fast the year has gone by has also surprised me.”
Lucas has been the most relaxed in and outside of school his senior year more than any other year.
Although Lucas is not for sure about what he wants to do he sees himself in different places in the following years. In 5 years he sees himself working a good job owning a few cars and being able to work on them. In 10 years he sees himself in Texas with his own dream personal garage and shop to work on all his cars, with a wife and kids.
Even though Lucas is more excited about getting out of here, he has truly loved all of his time here and is excited to see what the future holds for him.
Lucas states, “What I’ll miss most is definitely my friends and the atmosphere we create around each other in the classroom. Lakeview has prepared me with the encouragement given throughout the schooling process as well as the help given. It has helped prepare me to achieve my goals and up lift others in achieving what they want.”
Lucas is a one-of-a-kind student. You do not find many people as passionate as him about his life and the memories he has experienced. Lucas keeps his work life and social life in a good balance. He makes sure that he spends enough time with his friends and family, but also working and doing his part in and out of the classroom.
Lucas’s favorite event this year was the senior sunrise. He enjoyed being out on the field and being with his classmates as one big group for one of the last times. One of the many things Lucas will miss is the pep rally’s for the footballs games. From the marching in the halls to the games in the gym was a nostalgic feeling for him.
Lucas’s favorite classes were English with Carrie Schlatt and Laura Wood. Having Mrs.Wood last year he did not necessarily create a love for English but he created a love for the atmosphere he was in. Mrs.Schaltt’s class has been a real joy to Lucas this year with lots of laughs and great talks while also learning.
When talking to Lucas about who impacted him most he had some heartfelt things to say.
Lucas replied, “I think the most impactful of the Lakeview adults in my life would be Mr.Herrholtz and Mr. Detoro. I’ve gained a great connection with both all 4 years of high school and they’ve both been uplifting the entire time. They have helped me when I needed it and have been understanding.”
Lucas also adds, “Lakeview has prepared me with the encouragement given throughout the schooling process, as well as the help given. It has helped prepare me to achieve my goals and uplift others in achieving what they want.”
Some advice Lucas has for the upcoming freshman is helpful.
Lucas describes, “I would tell upcoming freshman and my freshman self don’t stress, go with the flow, and don’t worry that you’re not doing something with your future wrong because someone else is doing things different with theirs. The biggest life lesson would be not everyone stays in your life. Those who stay through the ups and downs are ones you can put your trust in.”
One thing that has made Lucas proud to be a Bulldog is the strong school spirit we hold in the buildings.
With Senior year coming to an end, Lucas is making as many memories as he can and soaking up his time here at Lakeview. Although he is excited to leave, he is also sad to leave his friends behind and seeing everyone on a daily basis. He is getting ready to say some of his heartfelt goodbyes to his dearest friends. Lucas has made a lot of precious memories throughout his time being a student and his favorite ones were spent with his friends.
The Lakeview District will definitely miss Lucas being here in the building. As Bulldogs, we wish the best of luck to him and his future adventures!
