Hutton shares how Lakeview has changed her saying, “Lakeview has shown me the importance of surrounding myself with good people who I care about and who care about me.”
Going back to freshman year, Hutton shares how she wishes she would have done her high school career differently saying, “I wish I knew how fast the 4 years of high school were gonna come and go. If I could go back I would live in the moment more instead of trying to rush through everything.” Highschool can fly by without you even noticing, and Hutton wishes she would have taken in everything slowly instead of rushing and trying to be done with school.
High school is one of the most important and biggest parts of your life. One thing that Hutton will remember the most out of her high school years is “The people. I have had a lot of great teachers throughout my time at Lakeview who have helped to push me in the right directions and have made many great friends who I hope to have for many years after high school.”
Hutton had many opportunities throughout her high school career. One of the great opportunities she had was going on the Senior Beta trip. This was one of her favorite club memories in high school. Hutton had a great experience going there, being able to compete in the engineering competition and winning first place in it.
The end of Hutton’s senior year has many traditional events to close up this chapter of her life. Hutton shares which event she is most excited for as the school year comes to an end saying, “I am most excited for prom. I think it is going to be a great way to close out my high school experience and it will provide me with memories that will last many years after high school.”
Senior year can be difficult for some with saying goodbye to friends and teachers. Hutton shares what her most difficult part of senior year is, “I think the most difficult part of senior year has been coming to terms with the fact that a major chapter of my life is coming to an end. But it is also the thing I’m most excited for. I am moving into a new chapter in life where I get to see and do things I’ve never done before.”
Hutton had many inspirations through her school career. One of her inspirations she states is “My career goals throughout my high school career. Having those goals for myself kept me on track and made me work harder so I could achieve my goals later in life.”
Hutton has advice for the underclassmen based on her experience here at Lakeview. Hutton states, “Savor every experience you have in high school, the good and the bad because they help shape you.”
Following high school, Hutton has many big things planned ahead for herself. She will be attending Youngstown State University where she will be majoring in psychology. Hutton is very thankful for Lakeview and all it has done for her to prepare her for college and her future.
