Senior Addison Eakin is coming closer to graduation at Lakeview High School! Even though it is her first year at Lakeview she has had a great experience at Lakeview and is so thankful for all the friends and memories she has made with her time here at Lakeview. Eakin is eager to graduate and can’t wait to start a new chapter in her life after high school!
Eakin has had a great time at Lakeview and it has impacted her life in so many great ways! Her senior year being her first year at Lakeview, she has been doing a lot of school activities outside of classes. Eakin stated how Lakeview has changed her saying, “Lakeview has gotten me more involved in student life than my previous school. I’ve been in drama all year, weight lifting in the winter, and I’ve attended just about every concert at Lakeview. I have more friends at Lakeview than I ever did before, so overall Lakeview has made me more involved!”
As you can see, Eakin loves being involved in school activities. She supported the sports and concerts by watching! Lakeview has made a lasting impression on her and one thing she said she will remember about Lakeview is “That I was able to help a lot of people and they helped me too!” Lakeview is a kind school and Eakin made it even more kind by helping people out that needed it.
Eakin had a lot of good memories and parts of her senior year at Lakeview. One of her favorite parts of school was “making a lot of friends which they all helped me out in any way she needed.” Eakin also shares her favorite memory, being, “all the projects in Mr Romano’s class because they were real life things that I could figure some things out about and understand better. It has helped me figure out what I will need to do as an adult to get a home to live on my own and get a job to afford what I want in life.”
Going back to her freshman year, Eakin shares how she would have done that year differently saying, “If I could go back to freshman year, I would work harder on math so that it wouldn’t be so hard for me as a senior.” Freshman year is a very important year and Eakin wishes she worked harder so that her senior year came easier for her!
Senior year has a lot of fun events throughout the school year such as dances and other fun activities. Eakin took advantage of almost all of these activities. She was asked which traditional events she was most excited for in the beginning of the year, sharing, “Homecoming, Prom, and any event that I could attend because I didn’t do any of those at my other school.” Eakin’s senior year was filled with school events making her so involved in our school!
Because Eakin was very involved in school activities and out of school activities, this comes with making so many memories. One out of school memory that she will cherish forever with her classmates is “Going to Dunkin with the Drama club. Clover took our orders ahead of time so that they were ready for us when we arrived. Being with the group was fun.”
Eakin has many friends that she has made her first and last year at Lakeview. Junior Colben Schick being one of them. Schick shares how Eakin is such a great friend, “Addie is always so supportive. She always shows up to my tennis matches and cheers us on. She brings positivity into the Lakeview community and I’m glad I got to meet her this school year!”
Eakin has advice for underclassmen, sharing, “Try to enjoy yourself in school. It’s a lot more fun if you have something to look forward to beyond your everyday classes. Get involved early and make friends early.”
Following high school, Eakin has a summer job that she can keep after summer as well. She is looking forward to working and having her own money to spend as she needs.
Goodluck 2024 Senior Addison Eakin with starting a new chapter of your life!
