After asking around the school, Home Alone is the most popular and favorite christmas movie that people like to watch. Home Alone starring Macaulay Culkin, who plays 8 year old Kevin McCallister, gets in trouble making his mother send him to the attic to sleep on the night before their trip to Paris. After the McCallisters mistakenly leave for the airport without him, Kevin awakens to an empty house, having the best time ever. However, he must protect his house from two men trying to rob him.
Sophomore Maddie Pompoco agrees that Home Alone is a great Christmas movie when she shared, “Home Alone is by far the best Christmas movie ever! I watch it every year with my family and we always get hot chocolate to drink when we watch it.”
Pompoco always discussed what her favorite part of the movie is, saying, “I love it when Kevin sets up all of the obstacles for when the burglars try to get in. It’s always so funny watching that part.”

Bartlett states, “My favorite is Home Alone because I’ve always watched it with my dad since I was little and we always laugh at it so much because of all of the things Kevin does to try and get the burglars out of his house.”

However another popular Christmas movie mentioned is Christmas With the Kranks. This movie stars Jamie Lee Curtis and Tim Allen, who play a couple who decided to take a Cruise to the Caribbean instead of their regular Christmas traditions. However, they have Christmas-obsessed neighbors who don’t let this sit well with them. These neighbors are determined to win the annual “best decorated street” competition which leads the Kranks to finding themselves as social outcasts because of their lack of Christmas spirit.
Sophomore Ali Parise shared with us that this was her favorite Christmas movie to watch. Parise states, “Christmas with the Kranks is probably my all time favorite Christmas movie because it’s so light-hearted and funny. I laugh so much when I watch this movie.” Parise also discusses what her favorite part of the movie is, saying “I just love this movie because there is one part in it that is that absolute best. The ham scene gets me every time, when Nora fights an old lady for a ham.”
