Over the past four years, Senior Trent Nale prepares to walk out of the halls of Lakeview High School with a boatload of memories that he will never forget. A four year member of the lakeview marching band, Nale has acquired an admirable musical career and many fun times with friends. As he looks to his future past High School, Nale begins to reflect on the experiences that brought him to this moment while expressing much excitement toward the future.
Nale has always been passionate about his role as a percussion player within Lakeview’s band, with his talents eventually landing him a spot in the symphonic band. Nale has also been a four year member of Lakeview’s marching band, serving as a member of the drumline.
When asked what his favorite memory of band was, Nale stated “My favorite memory of band was getting 1’s at state contest.”
Outside of his achievements within the band, Nale spends his free time hanging out and having a good time with his friends. Nale has made many memories with friends, yet one that stands out to him the most is “A random quest to IHOP. I went to IHOP with Brenden Westbrook, Nathan Thomas, and previous Lakeview student Nikolai Fasick at 11PM. We intended to watch the movie Avatar but they wouldn’t let us in so we decided to drive around and ended up going to IHOP.”
While Nale has made many great memories outside of school, there were a few memories that stood out to him in the classroom as well. When asked what one of his favorite classroom memories was, Nale reflected on a funny moment “When Mr. Senedak made Jacob Shaker have his own island seat away from everyone for messing with his air conditioning.”
As far as teachers go, there have been many that have had a positive impact on Nale, yet one stood out more than other which was “Mrs. Liebold, after a very bad time period of school, she came and made the time in class better.”
Nale has also had plenty of support outside of the classroom, and when asked who he admires most beyond school, he stated “My parents have definitely influenced me through their hard work and I strive to be like them in that aspect.”
While Nale has had many strong points in High School, he has also experienced many struggles within his time here. As a two-year member of the YSU CCP program, Nale has taken many challenging classes his last two years of high school. When asked what his biggest challenge was this year, Nale said “In Writing II, writing my essays was a real challenge for me, but it concluded with a B on my papers.”
As Nale looks forward to his future after graduating, he has high hopes for what the rest of his life is going to look like. Nale says that he looks forward to “start living more, go to college and get an enjoyable and good paying career.”
When thinking about what he could have done differently in his High School career, Nale says that “I would go back in time and change how much work I did.”
Over the course of four years, Nale has made a memorable mark on Lakeview High School, whether it be his accomplishments in the band or his impact on other classmates. With his prior accomplishments and determination in mind, it would be safe to say Nale will have much success in his life past High School. Yet by the time he walks out of his classroom doors for the final time, Nale will have made a memorable High School experience that he will remember and carry with him throughout the rest of his adult life.
