Senior year is coming to an end very soon, and as we wrap up the year we like to highlight the exceptional students who have made this school what it is today. Through determination, creativity, leadership, and academic excellence, these students have shaped Lakeview into an amazing place to go to school. This Senior spotlight features Reese Fabry, a student who has truly made her mark.
Fabry has spent her time at Lakeview participating in many different activities around the school, these show her dedication to her school as well as her community. She was the president of the Senior Beta club, a member of the Fellowship of Christian Athletes, and even a tutor for the Bulldog buddies program here at the Lakeview Middle School. She also attends a local youth group, where she can share her faith and make tons of fun memories!
As she wraps up her senior year, Fabry has had some time to reflect on some of the most meaningful moments that stand out to her. One of her favorite moments comes from her biology class: “I loved biology when Lillie, Lauren, and I got to build and work on a bunch of different and fun projects together ”she shared. These moments expanded her knowledge and strengthened friendships.
Fabry has a lot of good memories from these past four years, including times where she enjoyed the simple yet memorable things that make High School that much more enjoyable. For example, just driving around with her friends and going to the mall: “I have loved traveling all around Ohio with my friends, going to all the different malls or even just driving around Cortland.”
Throughout the last few years, Fabry has been apart of the schools Senior Beta Club. During this time she worked up to being the president of the Club, becoming a leader for the rest of the student who were members. She has reflected on how much she enjoys being a leader in Senior Beta.
Fabry reflects back on her time at Lakeview fondly, she knows she will miss her time here greatly. One thing stuck out greatly as the thing she will miss the most- her friends. Fabry explained that, “I’m going to miss talking to and seeing seeing my friends everyday.” These important relationships have been a cornerstone of her high school experience and will remain important to her moving forward.
Some of these friends have been with her longer than just high school, like Lauren Brown and Kylie Allen who have stuck by her side for years. When asked about Fabry, Allen shared some kind words saying: “Reese has been my friend for a long time. She is one of the best people I have ever met- she is kind and smart. Reese never ever fails to make me laugh. One of my favorite memories with her has always been the times we have spent in the car just going to youth group. We blast music and just enjoy our time together.” These personal connections speak volumes about Fabry’s character and the impact she has on those around her.
When looking towards the future and deciding what is next, Fabry knew exactly what she wants to do after graduation from high school: “I will be attending Cedarville University right here in Ohio to become a registered nurse.”
As she prepares to graduate, Fabry leaves behind the legacy of a great leader and friend. Her contributions to Lakeview have made a lasting impact, and she will be greatly missed by not just her friends, but also her teachers. Best wishes, and good luck Reese!
