With spring break soon approaching you might be asking yourself, What plans do I have for spring break? Spring break can be seen as a relaxing time for some and for others it may be filled with adventure. This break always occurs during the school year but for many it’s seen as more than just a pause from school. This gives you the chance to get that summer feel back with the warm sun shining down on your skin or the nice breeze that feels just right.
In 2026, spring break represents the perfect balance of escapism, adventure, and relaxation. Whether that may be traveling to new places or maybe just spending time with friends and family. This time is important for recharging your body both mentally and physically. No matter the plan, spring break is all about making great memories and enjoying this chance of freedom.
I have asked some of my fellow peers what their plans are for spring break and whether they’re going for an adventurous or even a relaxing time. First I spoke with Ben Meadows, a junior at Lakeview High School. Meadows talks about his plans for spring break by responding, “This spring break I plan on relaxing with family and friends while also enjoying the nice sunny weather.”
Spring break can be a great time to get that summer feeling back and is definitely very relaxing. Meadows also adds, “During past summer breaks I have also went on different locations such as Florida which I really enjoyed because I was able to relax on the beach and also enjoy different activities such as riding a jet ski with my family.”
Going on vacation during spring break can be very beneficial by providing you with unmatched entertainment that we definitely don’t see here in Ohio. Going on a beach vacation during spring break gives you the opportunity to not only enjoy the sunshine but also swim, surf, jet-skiing, and much more.
In addition to Meadows, I interviewed another Lakeview High School students to get a different perspective on spring break plans. Angelique Adkins, also a junior mentions that she will be enjoying her spring break in Florida with her family. Adkins shared her plans by saying “My spring break plans usually always consist of a yearly trip to Florida or North Carolina. I enjoy both very much because I am able to spend time with my family but also catch a glimpse of what this summer will be like.”
It’s important to spend time with your family and any trip over spring break will allow families to reconnect without the constant thought of school and work.
Both of these students plans show just how important spring break really is and shows that it’s not just a simple break from school but instead gives you the opportunity to enjoy yourself and spend quality time with your family. Whether students are traveling out of state or even staying home, spring break gives students the opportunity to finally relax and create great memories. The different plans shared from both Meadows and Adkins reveals an adventurous and calm spring break. These experiences allow students to have something to look forward to for the next year and many will be able to make the most of their time off before returning back to school.
