This Senior Spotlight will feature Molly Stuart, an exceptional student who has dedicated twelve years into excelling in both athletics and academics. Her contributions to Lakeview will undoubtedly leave a lasting impact as she prepares for the next chapter of her life.
As graduation approaches, Stuart reflects on her memorable high school years, reminiscing about how her memories at Lakeview have shaped her journey and prepared her for the future. She shares her thoughts, saying “One thing I will remember about Lakeview is the people. The small-school environment is very welcoming. In our school, it is comforting to know that all of the students and staff support one another and want the best for each other.”
Stuart credits her teachers at Lakeview for playing an influential role in her academic and personal growth, “The teacher who has influenced me the most is Mr. Murphy. While he is a great teacher, he gives even better advice. He has helped me in so many ways throughout high school and I am incredibly grateful for all of his support” Stuart expresses.
With role models to look to, Stuart reciprocates this leadership for the underclassmen, especially her teammates. When asked for what advice she would give to them, Stuart responded with “One piece of advice I would give to underclassmen is to never take anything for granted. The statement ‘time flies by’ has never been more true, cherish every moment you have because before you know it, it will be gone.”
When it comes to Lakeview athletics, Stuart has participated and contributed heavily to the success of the school’s volleyball team for the last four years.
When asked about her experience playing volleyball, she answered “By far my favorite memory of volleyball was winning the district championship with my team. Not only was this my first time winning, but it was the first Lakeview had ever won the district championship for volleyball. This moment was even more special because I was playing with all of my best friends.”
Stuart’s twelve years of education at Lakeview have been nothing but positive. With the overflowing amount of achievements academically and athletically, her experience has been unforgettable. When asked about what she considers memorable, she responds, “One of my favorite memories would have to be the staff vs student volleyball game. I had so much fun coaching the students! The event was a blast and I am so grateful I was able to participate in it! My favorite out of school memory with my friends was the Luke Bryan concert. Addy, Kennedy, Reagan, Hallie, and I all went together the summer before our junior year and it was so much fun!!”
Senior year is a pivotal moment in every student’s life, marked by both challenges and excitement. It serves as a culmination of their educational journey, celebrating the years they’ve spent in school. When reflecting on her senior year, Stuart highlights “The highlight of my senior year so far is the Winter Wonders dance. I had so much fun dancing with all of the girls in my grade. It was even more special to dance to the senior song at the end of the dance. I would say the most difficult part about senior year is staying motivated. Especially towards the end of the year, it is challenging to stay focused and productive on school work.”
This upcoming fall, Stuart will be attending Youngstown State University to study exercise science and enter the doctorate of physical therapy program.
As the school year starts to end, she continues to prepare herself for the next step in her life. YSU is lucky to have her, and Lakeview wishes her the best of luck!
