Lakeview student and baseball player Nathan Paolucci has made it official to attend Hiram College to further his academic and athletic career. Now with the next four years getting closer he has focused in on his academics and other workouts and drills to improve his game so he will succeed at Hiram.
Senior, Nathan Paolucci has always been a dedicated student, he is a three year letter winner, and a part of the National Honor Society. Paolucci always has made it a priority to succeed in school because he knew that he wanted to further his academic career in college. With college just around the corner, Paolucci is planning on furthering his academic career and to major in education. He is thinking of becoming a high school history teacher with hopes to someday coach baseball to keep his love for the sport alive once his time playing is over.
Paolucci has always been a multi sport athlete, he played soccer, baseball, and basketball all the way through elementary school, middle school, and all the way through high school besides basketball he only played through his freshman year. Paolucci is a four year letter winner in both soccer and baseball. Paolucci has always had love for baseball and that has always been his main sport. He has been awarded NE8 second team utility player for baseball and for soccer he has been awarded the first team all county award twice.
When Paolucci gets to Hiram college along with furthering his learning to major in education he is going to focus on baseball to be a catcher or third baseman. Paolucci has been talking to the coach at Hiram and he is one of the only four players that the coach has recruited this year.
When Paolucci signed and made it official one of the first he told was coach Brua which is the baseball coach at Hiram and he was thrilled. His words were, “Happy to have you on board.”
When looking back on the support Paolucci has gotten all through his journey he states, “all of my past and present coaches, teammates, friends, and family have gotten me to where I am today. I have had so many influential people in my life and I could not have done it without them. I am excited to start this next chapter in my life but I will not forget those who have helped me get to where I am today.”
Paolucci is thrilled to start this new and exciting journey at this new place. Paolucci has had to work harder than ever since the competition will be even tougher than he has faced in the past. He is doing harder workouts and training to make it so his skills are second nature to him. He cannot wait to start his new chapter of his life and he is working harder than ever to succeed at Hiram college.
In Paolucci’s high school baseball career at bat he has had 1 home run, 30 rbi’s, 52 hits, and 36 runs and while behind the plate he has posted .962 fielding percentage, 166 putouts, and with only having one passed ball get by him.
While talking to Paolucci’s coach, Cameron Carson he replies with, “I knew Nate was a special player his first day as a freshman. I am very happy to see his hard work and dedication pay off. He is someone that has made Lakeview baseball better and will have a major impact at Hiram.”
Lakeview is so excited to see another one of the senior class students further their academic and athletic career in college. We wish you luck!
