Senior Nathan Paolucci, current National Honor society member, is approaching the end of his high school career at Lakeview. With graduation just a couple months away Paolucci has been reminiscing on his time here at Lakeview as a Bulldog and he is eager to start the next chapter of his life.
In the classroom, Paolucci has maintained a good academic record with a 3.5 GPA, honor roll throughout his academic career, and three academic letters. Paolucci has always made his grades a priority to him and always made sure everything was turned in on time to make sure he gets the best grades he can.
When talking to Paolucci he explained while he is nervous for the next chapter of his life he is also very excited and he thought about all of the memories at Lakeview he has made in his senior year: ¨While looking back on the year so far it is crazy to think this is my last. I loved all of the memories I have made with everyone and I hope those friendships carry on even when we are out of high school.¨
On top of Paolucci’s academic success, he loves sports. He has played soccer and baseball ever since he was a little kid and sports have been one of his favorite things of his high school career. Paolucci has been an outstanding player in both, soccer and baseball with earning many awards in both. In soccer he is a four year letter winner, and he won the all county award two times in his career. While his top sport baseball, he has also received the award of NE8 second team utility, and is also a four year letter winner.
While looking back on Paolucci’s career, he realizes how his coaches have made him the player he is today and will forever leave a lasting impact on his life: ¨Coach Carson and coach Facciolo have made a lasting impact and have made it a fun four years for me to play the sports I love as well as they made me better a better player along the way.¨
While soccer has been a big part of Paolucci’s life, baseball is at the top. He is so excited to be able to have the opportunity to continue his love for the sport on his next journey to college. Coach Brua at Hiram college has given him the opportunity to be on the team and he could not be more excited.
While preparing for his last baseball season Paolucci says ¨I am excited to get to hit the field one last time with my teammates and I hope to have a great season for my last year at high school and leading into becoming a college player. It is bittersweet to think this is my last season as a high school player but I would not want to do it with anyone else.¨
Paolucci has had many people around him throughout high school, and seniors Calan Cunningham and Matthew Leonard shared words on what Paolucci means to them and their favorite memories.
Cunningham stated ¨some of my favorite memories would be in the summertime when we would work together doing jobs, like laying mulch and cutting grass, it was awful sometimes in the heat and being out there all day but when we were doing it together it would make it so much more fun and enjoyable. I also really love going out and riding quads together that is probably my favorite memory because it is super fun riding and hitting the trails together. Some of my favorite things about Nate as a friend are, he is always willing to hangout and always sticks to his word and never changes the plans on you.”
Leonard explained, ¨My favorite memory with Nate would probably be the time when we smashed old tvs in my woods.”
Paolucci has had so many good memories at Lakeview High School and will always hold them close, he is excited to make new memories and friends at Hiram College. At Hiram he is ecstatic to continue he academic and athletic career to continue his love for baseball and to go into education to become a teacher. Congratulations on all your accomplishments you have had so far and we wish you the best of luck at Hiram college, Nathan!
