As we wrap up our senior year for our 2026 class, Lakeview High School is proud to represent our amazing seniors and all they have accomplished. The Senior Spotlight honors students who have represented leadership, dedication, and true meaning of being a Bulldog. The Senior Spotlight will feature is Annabelle Humphrey, a student who has balanced outstanding success in the classroom and on the field, all why being a positive influence on those around her.
Humphrey has achieved many accomplishments, whether academic or athletic. Academically, she’s a National Honor Society member, Senior Beta Club member, former Jr. Exec member, former French Club member. Athletically, she has earned four year varsity letters and served as captain for both basketball and soccer, while also varsity lettering twice in Track and Field. Her coaches describe her as a hard worker and team player on and off the field.
As Humphrey comes to the end of her senior year, she states what she is looking forward to, “I think I’m most excited for senior prom. Last year’s prom as a junior was super fun and will definitely be memorable as the last big school event with my friends and classmates.”
Even though Humphrey looks forward to that celebration, she also reminisces on her ultimate highlight of her senior year so far, “The highlight of my senior year so far was soccer and basketball season. Even though I played for all four years I wish there was more, it went by so fast and I never realized how much I would miss it.”
As Humphrey reminisces on her time at Lakeview, she looks back and mentions what she would change if she went back in time to the beginning of her high school career, “If I could travel back to the start of high school I would definitely take nothing for granted. The time with my friends, old classes, and sports teams formed me as a person and reminded me of how great my years at Lakeview have been.”
Humphrey, being a strong academic and athletic student, states what superpower she has gained throughout her years at Lakeview and how it ultimately changed her as a person, “One super power that I have acquired in my four years at LHS is resilience. In these years I’ve learned to bounce back from tough situations whether it was sports or from the education side of high school these challenges have taught me how life doesn’t go perfectly and reminds to not give up.”
As she wraps up her final semester, she states what she will miss most as a student at Lakeview, “I’m going to miss the people at Lakeview. Everyone knew each other and all of my friends had very big impacts on me. I’m going to miss seeing them and laughing through long school days.”
As she ends of her year, she leaves a note for the future generation of Lakeview, “Do everything you can, be involved and hangout with your friends whether its in sports, clubs, or outside of school.”
Even though Humphrey has created life long friendships and memories with the people at Lakeview, she discusses what her next mission in life is after she graduates, “My next mission in life is to study exercise science at Edinboro University. I’ll also be on the women’s soccer team to continue my athletic career. I’m super excited to move onto this next chapter of my life and pursue this education.”
Humphrey is a clear representation of what it means to be a Lakeview Bulldog. She has accomplished many achievements academically and athletically while also creating millions of memories with some of her closest friends.
