With the end of senior year rapidly approaching it is important that we highlight the success Isaiah Lantz has had throughout his high school career. Lantz has achieved so much here at Lakeview high school and he deserves to be recognized for his achievements inside and outside of the classroom.

Lantz is a 2 sport athlete here at Lakeview Lantz plays basketball and baseball where he plays a huge role for his team in each sport. Lantz is a three year letter winner in baseball and he is a four year letter winner in basketball. Lantz has lead his team to numerous wins in both sports.

Lantz is a four year letter winner in academics he is always been a great student in the classroom. Lantz makes sure to balance his sports and his academics in an equal way making sure he succeeds in both aspects of his life.

Lantz plays center field for the baseball team and is the lead off batter. Lantz is the point guard for basketball he has been starting at point guard for four years now.

Something that needs to be mentioned is that Lantz hit 1000 career points in basketball this is something that very few players ever achieve. Lantz hit 1000 points against Brooklyn at his last ever home game only 1 other men’s basketball player at Lakeview has ever hit this achievement.

Outside of school Lantz is always a great person to be around. Other than being great on the basketball court and the baseball field Lantz is also great on the pickle ball courts. Lantz is a standout pickleball player on the Willow park courts.

Lantz being a standout student in the classroom he has been a great student here at Lakeview high school for 4 years now and all of his teachers have helped him through his journey in the classroom but one really stood out to Lantz and helped him the most.

Lantz exclaims, “The teacher that helped me the most was Mr Murphy because he always made it a point to talk with his students and cared about seeing all of his students succeed.”

Lakeview Science teacher Joshus Murphy has taught Lantz that teachers can always help you with any problems you have and that the teachers here at Lakeview actually care about their students and their success for high school life and moving forward with life after high school.

With Lantz being on the field and the court for 4 years straight now he has made many memories within playing sports but two memories have really stood out to him.

Lantz says, “My favorite two memories would probably be winning districts in baseball my freshman year and my other favorite would be hitting 1000 points in front of all of my friends and family.” 

Lantz has left his mark here at Lakeview within sports hitting 1000 points in basketball and also made history with the baseball team winning a district championship.

Lantz has had great success in the classroom and he has big plans for the rest of his life.

Lantz quotes “What’s next for me is going to Liberty University and hopefully working in a church one day.”

With great success in the high school classroom Lantz is going to be able to achieve all of his goals. Lantz is pursuing a great college and he is going to be a great man and student.

Two of Lantz’s friends were asked to give a few words about him and they had all good to say.

Senior Brandon Toot said, “Lantz is a great friend and a great person. He is a great athlete and is a great student. He hit 1000 points in basketball and is one of the only to ever do it” 

Senior Nathan Paolucci said, “Lantz is a very good friend of mine he is very chill and always is fun to hang out with. I like playing baseball with him as well as some pickle ball outside of school. My favorite memories with Lantz are going fishing on kayaks.”

Both Toot and Paolucci had awesome things to say about Lantz and are lifelong friends with him.

Lakeview high school appreciates everything that Lantz has done for the academic program he is graduating and going to a great school that you have to be a great student to go to. Lantz has also done a lot for the athletic program here at Lakeview he is one of the best to ever do it here at Lakeview and his name will forever be on the 1000 point wall. But most importantly Lantz was a great guy and always positive and nice to everybody.
