With the end of the school year approaching quickly, Evan Hawn who is a Senior at Lakeview High School looks forward to walking down the stage to receive his high school diploma and start a new chapter in his life. Hawn will never forget the amazing memories that were gifted to him during his four years at Lakeview!
Evan Hawn looks back on his memories as a student and athlete. Hawn enjoyed playing soccer during his time here at Lakeview with his fellow teammates and never failed to make his friends laugh. Hawn has played soccer for many years but his four years of soccer at Lakeview High helped him develop and become the person he is today.
Hawn expresses his appreciation for his team by stating, “My teammates throughout my four years have developed me not only as a player but as a person as well. I had the best time of my life with those guys.”
Being part of a team is very important because it not only teaches you how to work with one another but it can also help with personal growth. A team isn’t just about trying to win, it’s something that you belong to and something that you will carry with you for the rest of your life.
Whether it’s on or off the field, Hawn is a very hard worker who believes in dedication and has always put in maximum effort. He is not only a great soccer player but also a great student who has achieved many accomplishments such as making Honor roll and receiving a varsity letter. Hawn had unfortunately gone through some issues concerning his leg which lead him to surgery and a broken foot. He didn’t let this set him back though.
Hawn mentioned, “My biggest highlight of my senior year was coming back from leg surgery and a broken foot my senior night.”
This shows an immense amount of strength from Hawn and truly shows us how much he cares for soccer. Despite going through two separate issues, he still managed to push through and be there for his fellow teammates when they needed him most.
Reflecting all the way back to Elementary school, Hawn discusses how one teacher had made a great impact on his life. Hawn states, “Mrs. Liplin was my super hero, she made school fun for me and she also made me realize that hard work gets rewarded.” Having a role model who you can learn from is such a great thing, especially at a young age. This can help shape someone’s character and social skills while also providing them with guidance and positivity. It’s very beneficial to be around figures who demonstrate resilience and kindness.
One of Hawn’s closest friends, senior Brandon Toot reflects on their friendship and what it means to him. Toot mentions, “Evan has always been a great friend of mine because he has always made me laugh and I think that playing soccer together brought us even closer.”
A second close friend to Hawn is Aidan Barnot, also a Senior. Barnot mentions, “Me and Evan have always been close friends and have grown up playing soccer together and my best memory with him would be playing together.”
After High School, Hawn plans on attending Kent State and he will be going for business. After college Hawn wants to pursue his dreams of creating his own business. We wish you the best of luck Evan and we know you will do great things!
