With the 2026 schooling year coming to an end, Senior Tyler Simonyi looks back on his accomplishments and many memorable moments from his time here at Lakeview High School. We are going to take a closer look at the impact that Lakeview has had on Simonyi and the different contributions that he himself has provided during his time here.
Simonyi has been a student at Lakeview his entire life but what really made a difference for Simonyi was stepping into the High School and learning how to become a young adult. Lakeview has taught all of their students including Simonyi, the importance of preparing for adulthood and learning these skills to make life a bit smoother.
His time here at Lakeview not only provided him with skills that he will need as he stepped into adulthood but also gave him the chance to play soccer, a sport that he has loved since he could walk. Soccer wasn’t just a sport for Simonyi but rather a way to express himself and build a second family.
Though, Simonyi is excited to start his next chapter at life and leave high School behind, he will never forget the amazing times that he had here at Lakeview whether that was playing in a soccer game or laughing with friends in class.
High school has such an impact on students. That being said, it’s very important that every student has someone that they can look up to during their time at High School. The person that made an impact on Simonyi would have been his sophomore English teacher, Jenna Hogue.
Simonyi mentions, “Mrs. Hogue was my adult super hero because she influenced me the most, not only with work but also being a good person”. Lakeview has many teachers just like Hogue, who truly want to help and inspire their students to become the best versions of themselves and help them succeed in the future.
Simonyi has also recognized his Mom and Dad as his super heros. He states, “My parents were my superheroes throughout my high school journey. They supported everything I did and had faith that I would be able to get good grades and keep up in my classes. They also helped me when I was struggling and noticed when to help.”
Having parental support in High school is such an amazing thing to have because it can help students boost their confidence, academic performance, and emotional well-being.
To understand Simonyi’s character and friendships, we’ve asked senior Brandon Cash to tell us what it’s like to have a friendship with Simonyi. Cash shares, “Me and Simonyi have always been close friends, I enjoy going riding with him and I think that he is just a great person to be around.”
We also ask senior Brandon Toot to describe Simonyi and tell us more about their friendship. Toot mentions, “I have been close friends with Simonyi for as long as I can remember, I think that he is very funny and I always enjoyed playing in soccer matches together.”
With less than a month left of school for our Seniors, We would like to wish the best of luck to Tyler Simonyi and his future plans. We hope that you had an amazing and unforgettable four years here at Lakeview High School!
