Burkey had some positive words to share on how her season is going, “This season has had a really good start. We’ve been working really hard and it’s paid off. At the first meet I got a PR in the 100m dash and won first place in all of my events.”
Burkey takes a look into the future of this season, “I feel like this season has a really good chance at being successful. It’s started off strong and I think I can make it far and past the Trumbull County Meet.”
Anderson expresses her excitement for this season, “I’m really excited to get back into running this season. We’ve been training hard and preparing to win meets. It’s unfortunate because so many meets keep getting canceled and we need the smaller meets for practice so that we can do well at invitationals and be prepared.”
Anderson has hope for the outcome of this season, “I have hope for the future of this season based on the results of this past meet. I got 4th in the 400m dash and I got a PR in both the 400 and the 200m dashes. With training I believe I can improve my time and get it down.”
Doran emphasizes her excitement for the upcoming season, “On our first meet I was a part of the winning 4×100 and 4x200m relay teams. I’m excited to see where it goes and how far we get into the meets.”
Doran has great predictions for this year, “This year I think we will do really good. We’ve been working hard and doing hard workouts that set us apart from other teams. Hopefully we continue to progress and get better so we can do well in the important meets and make it past the Trumbull County Meet.”
Bulldogs track is looking like they are going to have a promising season. This is just the first meet, but there will be many more to come. We encourage everybody to come out and support the Lakeview Bulldogs at their track meets.
